W3 Board is designed as a Local-First Application. This means:
- We do not require you to create an account or log in.
- We do not have servers that store your dashboard configurations, URLs, or CSS selectors.
- All data generated by the app (including your dashboard layout and settings) is stored locally on your computer's hard drive (specifically in the
AppDataor standard application support folders).
2. Website Analytics (Cookies)
While the app itself tracks nothing, our landing page (where you downloaded the app) uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors find us.
Google Analytics may place a cookie on your browser to track:
- Pages visited and time spent on the site.
- General location (e.g., country/city) and device type.
- Referral sources (how you found our website).
3. Data Security
Since W3 Board functions locally, the security of your data depends primarily on the security of your own computer. We recommend keeping your operating system updated to ensure your local files remain secure.
